Privacy policy
Villa Verde is responsible for processing personal data as reflected in this privacy statement. This privacy statement applies to all privacy-sensitive information or personal data you provide to us, for example when you send us an e-mail or ultimately make a reservation for a stay. We clearly explain how we store your data, for how long it is kept and what exactly is the purpose of the data processing. In addition, we provide insight into how you can exercise your rights regarding data processing.
Villa Verde Italy is a small-scale residence where we offer flats for rent. We have had a dream for many years to share our love for Italy and especially le Marche with others. In 2020, we started to realise this dream by buying the Villa Verde house in Loro Piceno. We are currently at the start of our first rental season. Our contact details are as follows:

Personal data we process:
Villa Verde processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself by contacting us by e-mail for information or for a possible booking. We need to collect data for various reasons which we explain to you below:

- Address details
- Phone number
- Account number (when booking)
- Email address
Special and/or sensitive personal data we process and what we use it for:
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are under 16 years of age. Unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, please contact us at info@villaverdeitaly.com, we will delete this information.
Below you can read for what purpose and on what basis, Villa Verde personal data processed:
- Making a reservation and/or booking;
- Handling your payment;
- Be able to contact us, by phone or email, if necessary to carry out our services;
- Informing you of changes to our services and products;
- Villa Verde also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so in Italy, such as data we need for our tax return, which is done by an accountant, or to register your stay with the relevant authorities.
- Villa Verde does not make any decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals on the basis of automated processing. These are decisions that are made by computer programmes or systems, without a person (Website manager) being involved.
How long are personal data kept?
Villa Verde will not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data are collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories of) personal data:
- General: retention period no longer than strictly necessary to answer and/or process your request/question.
- Booking: Retention period at least 7 years after final booking (due to legal administrative obligations)
- Newsletter: Retained indefinitely or until request for deletion.
Technical and functional cookies
Villa Verde uses only technical and functional cookies, as well as analytical cookies that do not invade your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical functioning of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preferences. They also allow us to optimise our website. You can opt out of cookies by configuring your internet browser to stop storing cookies. You can also delete any information previously stored via your browser settings.
View, modify or delete data
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by Villa Verde and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we have on you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you.
You can send a request to access, correct, delete, transfer your personal data or request the withdrawal of consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@villaverdeitaly.com.
To ensure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to the request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

How we secure personal data
Villa Verde takes your privacy very seriously and thus also the protection of your data. We take appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. All the above mentioned parts in this privacy statement are in accordance with the applicable (General Data Protection Regulation) AVG legislation. This European privacy legislation has been applicable in the Netherlands since 25 May 2018.
