Directions to Recanati
We opted to drive towards Recanati via Macerata and from there possibly continue to Porto Recanati. However, we had slightly misjudged the distance and eventually decided to visit Recanati only, with several stops in picturesque villages along the way.
After a lovely walk through the town of Recanati, the city of poetry, we enjoyed a sumptuous lunch in the atmospheric square. Of course, we also did a bit of culture and visited the home of Giacomo Leopardi, one of Italy's most famous poets. In 1818, he wrote his masterpiece L'Infinito here, inspired by the surrounding landscape.
Wow, what a beautiful view! At a glance, you can see the turquoise Adriatic Sea, the imposing contours of Monte Conero, and in the distance, the Apennines rise behind rolling hills covered with sunflower fields and vines. The carefully maintained hill towns and surprising views make this tour unforgettable.
